A new publication by Irina Podgorny: Sal, sol y fósiles bajo la sombrilla en Mar de Ajó

An article by one of our researchers, Irina Podgorny, was published in a renowned Argentinean publication Revista Ñ. It highlights the collection and the story of the Museum of Mar de Ajó in Buenos Aires Province.

“Whoever visits the Argentinean Atlantic coast can take a tour around the Museum of Mar de Ajó. Maybe you will find it crammed and it will not be a lie. There, whale skulls coexist with tea services, buoys and the first computers used in the region. Perhaps you will find it dark, lacking in resources. And it will also be true. But whoever talks to Gambetta – director of the museum and agent of the Secretary of Culture of the Municipality of La Costa – will not be able to deny that, in spite of these conditions, in this unthinkable space in the Province of Buenos Aires, a turtle was able to escape from the ocean and dream again of walking on all fours.”
